Milton & Millie

New Mexico local entrepreneurs

Milton and Millie – New Mexico local entrepreneurs. Milton delivers firewood in the winter and mulch to local gardens all summer. Milton's family has delivered firewood to customers for generations and is the inspiration for the statue of the life-sized burro guarding the entry to Burro Alley on San Francisco street. Millie is a Master Gardener and grows and sells flowers and native vegetables. She is famous for her giant sunflowers and native bolita beans. 

 

Milton will star in his own door hanger soon. Millie's door hanger, available  2023, will feature local flowers and fauna.

Meet Zuzu. Besides being one ridiculously smart bird, Zuzu has some strangely engaging activities, such as hoarding shiny objects, arranging funerals for its departed loved ones, and can recognize humans.

official state reptile of New Mexico

Dootlz,  a New Mexico whiptail  (Aspidoscelis neomexicanus),  is a female-only species of lizard found in the southwestern United States in New Mexico and Arizona, and in northern Mexico in Chihuahua. It is the official state reptile of New Mexico.
